Milwaukee Bucks Grades and Reactions From 104-96 Loss To Oklahoma City Thunder
Reactions: The Bad
- With respect to Monroe and Bayless the Bucks have absolutely no depth. They’re so hard up for talent right now that a guy like O.J. Mayo, who dropped another zero point clunker, gets 24 minutes. Meanwhile, studs like Giannis and Middleton are forced to play over 40 minutes each, again. Regardless of the development of Giannis and Jabari the Bucks are going to need to produce a much better bench next season to have a chance of being competitive.
- It’s very apparent that he got fouled, but man,it’s tough for a big man to take a block like this from a guard–even if that guard is Russell Westbrook.
- Three point shooting was awful again. The Bucks hit just 3-19 from downtown (15.8%). Mayo and Vaughn combined for 0-5.
- Midway through the fourth quarter the Bucks suffered an 0-12 drought. Streaky as the Bucks are, the fourth quarter is no time for a prolonged stretch of failure. As is often the case the Bucks got away from what they do well during this stretch–settling for long jumpers and playing stagnant “stand around” offense.
