Reactions: The Bad

  • Where’s the bench? The Bucks big three combined for 48 of Milwaukee’s 90 points. If you toss in Greg Monroe and Jerryd Bayless, those five players accounted for 79 points. The other three Bucks that got minutes combined for 11. That’s the definition of no depth, and it happens just about every night.
  • That lack of depth means some players are doing far too much. Khris Middleton played nearly 43 minutes against the Bulls. Why not give some of his minutes to Rashad Vaughn, who only got 10? Let the rook get some run, and let the guy who’s carried the team all season get a bit of rest.
  • Milwaukee’s defense was absolutely porous on Monday night. The Bulls collectively shot 50/40/80 from the field/beyond the arc/the free throw line. That is a complete failure by the Bucks defense.
  • O.J. Mayo continues to provide almost nothing, except maybe some theoretical spacing. Point Uncle Juice is only holding onto his starting spot because there are literally no other options–it would decimate the Bucks bench if Bayless were to start right now.
