Reactions: The Good

  • Jabari Parker scored a quiet 23 on 11-17 shooting–a nice rebound from his bad night Saturday. Middleton was good, scoring 19 while going 3-5 from three. And the Bucks out-rebounded the Nets 41-31 (15-3 on the offensive glass) while turning it over just nine times to the Nets 20. Phew, now that the boring positives are out of the way lets get to the man of the hour.
  • Remember the Giannis behind-the-back foul line slam against the Knicks late last season? Of course you do. How could you ever forget that one. For those with shaky memories it looked like this. Well, our favorite Greek was at it again Sunday night–crossing over Shane Larkin with a pass fake before calling his own number and throwing it down all in the same motion. “Put it on the highlight DVD” as Ted Davis would say. Behold, the glory.

From another angle (poor Shane Larkin).

And of course, the bench reactions.

Giannis had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists…IN THE FIRST HALF!!

But he didn’t stop there. No sir, he still had room to make Brook Lopez look silly.

And even found time to flash his passing skills first to Middleton (a dream of a pass) then to Plumlee in the crowded paint.

The future is now.
