Greg Monroe – 9.3 rebounds per game – 15th in the NBA

Monroe again lost a few tenths of a rebound per game, and again dropped a spot on the leaderboard. His time off of the bench and reduced minutes to the two-headed Miles Plumlee/John Henson center monster have been most of the reason for that.

Monroe lost even more ground in the double-double standings as well. Whereas in January he was tied for fifth in the NBA, and in February he was down to eleventh, Monroe now sits in 14th place, NBA-wide.

As enthusiasm about him has dropped off, so has his stat totals. It’s sad that the optimism around Monroe’s signing this summer has all but evaporated, but at least he’s still grabbing those boards on a nightly basis.

There will be no unseating Greg Monroe in rebounding this season. With Henson and Plumlee getting less minutes and splitting rebounds when they play together, the Moose will stick around in first place here for a while.
