Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters

Jerry Bayless

, D+

2 Points | 1-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK |

We didn’t see much at all from Bayless for the second consecutive game. With the strong play of Ennis, Bayless has been giving up some minutes. Perhaps it’s a ploy by the Bucks to lower his market value before hitting free agency this summer.

Khris Middleton

, A

26 Points| 10-16 FG | 3-3 FT | 7 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

When Middleton’s three pointer is falling, look out. I know that’s not breaking news to anybody but if feels particularly true with Middleton. The last two games he’s scored 20 or more, he hit two or more threes in those games. He was 3-4 against the Suns included the lights out dagger in the final minute.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, B-

10 Points | 3-5 FG | 3-8 FT | 3 REB | 6 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

He didn’t stuff the stat sheet like he normally does, but he was the Bucks most effective player according to the very-reliable +/- system. He finished with a +19 in a game that was close until the very end. He also drilled a top of the key three pointer.  I look forward to the day where those become as regular as Parker threes.

Jabari Parker

, A

21 Points | 6-10 FG | 9-11 FT | 5 REB | 3 AST | 4 STL | 0 BLK

21 points on only ten shots? Gimme all of that. Parker was aggressive in attacking the bigs of Phoenix, reaching the line 11 times, including an important and-one layup late in the fourth quarter. Seeing him hitting jumpers is become less and less newsworthy, but his 3-5 from 15 feet or more still makes me smile.

Greg Monroe
Greg Monroe /

, B

14 Points| 5-12 FG | 4-4 FT | 5 REB | 4 AST | 2 STL | 2 BLK |

Monroe busted out his defensive chops, emphatically rejecting a pair of bunnies. Other than those plays he did nothing out of the ordinary. He was strong offensively, with spin moves and a deeper jumper. I could get used to seeing him climb the ladder and make big defensive plays.
