The Milwaukee Bucks gave up a season-high 18 three pointers to the Cleveland Cavaliers en route to an exuberant 109-80 beating.

That was brilliant–a spectacle to behold, truly. Between the high flying slobber-knocking Giannisisms that we’ve grown so accustomed to, and the unheard of Johnny O’Bryant dunk factory (yes you read that right) there was much to be entertained with Tuesday night.

It was also the single worst effort we’ve seen from this team since they were laid out in L.A. one game after unseating the Warriors from the ranks of the undefeated.

At no point did you get the sense the Bucks could remain competitive with the hot-shooting, crisp-passing, better-than-you Cavaliers.

Sure Giannis Antetokounmpo was two assists from notching yet another triple double. Yes he hit two threes along the way. But the game was so out of hand in the fourth quarter that he began to actively, and noticeably start passing up on his own shots in a desperate attempt to find the last two assists he needed for the triple-double.

In place of what was sized up to be a highly competitive, important Eastern Conference late-season match-up the only drama Bucks fans were privy to was whether or not Giannis could force a pair of assists.

And that’s fine–I’m thrilled that the Bucks have a player that can compel fans to keep watching regardless of the scoreboard.

I just wish the team as a whole would also compel me to watch.

Win or lose, we’re here as always with your Milwaukee Bucks grades and reactions.
