Allen Crabbe

Behind the Portland Trail Blazers version of the “Splash Brothers” in Damien Lillard and C.J. McCollum, Allen Crabbe was a solid double digit per game scorer out West. He was a bright spot for the surprising Blazers as nobody thought they would even make the playoffs last season, but they ultimately gave the Warriors a good shot.

Crabbe was a 39.4 percent shooter from beyond the arc in the regular season and an even better shooter in the postseason at 42.9 percent. For a guy who made less than a million dollars last season, he has already proven he can be a solid shooter on a postseason team.

In five postseason games against the Warriors he made at least two three-pointers in three of those games, and in his team’s playoff exit he put up a fight going 5-7 from deep and scoring 20 points on the night.

In 11 total playoff games he hit at least two three-point shots in six of those games and he scored in double figures in seven of those games. For a 24-year-old he’s proven he’s capable of being a consistent shooter in the league.

Though many teams will probably be interested in Crabbe this summer, the Bucks can try to sell him on the idea of becoming a key part of a new run and gun type of offense that we will hopefully see for many years to come.
