Fit With The Bucks

His shooting touch would be useful, but the inefficient shots Waiters takes might sink Milwaukee’s sluggish offense even further. Waiters has the potential to be good, but the Bucks aren’t the team with the opportunity or need to take that chance this summer.

More from Behind the Buck Pass

His salary is likely going to be way out of Milwaukee’s price range, and his defense isn’t good enough to cover point guards every night on offense. That means he’d have to come off of the bench for the Bucks.

Milwaukee can’t pay a bench player $20 million with Giannis and Jabari and Khris Middleton all getting paid, not to mention John Henson.

Waiters is theoretically a good player to add to a young team, but he’s just not right for the Milwaukee Bucks right now.

It will be fun to watch him balling out in Brooklyn next season, though.
