Reactions: The Bad
- Rashad Vaughn was terrible. I’m not being hyperbolic. Vaughn took and missed a lot of shots, and didn’t look much better on defense considering the opposing talent. In short, he seemed like a very raw rookie rather than someone set to enter their second pro season. Vaughn was struggling with a finger injury that had required stitches in his shooting hand (as he detailed on the team’s official Snapchat earlier in the day), and hopefully that’s the explanation for what was a very disappointing showing.
- The only other real complaint, or perhaps more accurately concern, from the game comes in the form of the rotation. Those familiar with Sean Sweeney will be well aware that he’s all business, but would it hurt to open up the rotation a little more? It’s Summer League, Sean! It was great to see Maker, Brogdon and Vaughn lead the team in minutes as they are the three players who are certain to factor in Milwaukee’s future. Behind that though, some slightly more even minutes distribution would have been nice though. Let’s see some more of Nash and Ibeh. DNP-CD’s for Steve Sir, Travis Trice and Jared Berggren were disappointing too, considering they’re all intriguing for various reasons.
