The ‘MCW Crew’ Lineup

PG – Michael Carter-Williams
SG – Malcolm Brogdon
SF – Khris Middleton
PF – Mirza Teletovic
C – Miles Plumlee

This lineup emphasizes the things Carter-Williams does well. He is a good passer, defender, and attacker of the hoop. Surrounding him with shooters, an effective pick and roll big man, and a couple of versatile defenders who can switch on multiple positions seems like a recipe for success.

Giannis has become everything we had expected MCW to become in a point guard and much more. But Carter-Williams can still have a positive impact for the remainder of his tenure in Milwaukee. This lineup is one that would let him show off his abilities a little bit.

MCW is at his best in the half court when he is attacking the basket at will. He creates a lot of free throw attempts and uses his height and strength to finish tricky shots inside. With Teletovic, Middleton and Brogdon surrounding him he can find a three-point shooter ready to let it fly when he gets tangled up inside. Or he can find players cutting or posting up near the hoop.

The fast break is another offensive area where Carter-Williams is lethal. Plumlee will be a great running mate for MCW on the break where the two can connect constantly on beautiful alley oops.

Defensively, only Teletovic is a real weak spot among these five. Both MCW and Middleton are able to defend his man in a pinch so Telly could be switched on to the worst offensive option on the wing. That should be enough to hide him.

Carter-Williams will never be an All Star in this league but he can be the primary ball handler on a lineup that will crush bench units. If he is put in this position he can take advantage of his skill set and show some the reasons why the Bucks wanted to acquire him in the first place.
