Milwaukee Bucks: Every Olympian In Franchise History
By Adam McGee
Jeff Grayer (USA) – 1988 Olympics
Jeff Grayer headed to the Olympics having just completed his final year as an Iowa State Cyclone and just prior to his first season in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks. Taken with the 13th overall pick by the Bucks, hopes were high for Grayer at both club and international level.
On a team who struggled to grab any real footing and was lacking its usual abundance of star players, the US needed someone else to step forward and take the reins, and although Grayer was solid, he wasn’t quite up to that standard.
Grayer averaged 6.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, with his best performance coming against China with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Upon starting out in his NBA career, Grayer played four full seasons with the Bucks, before moving on to play for the Warriors, 76ers, Kings and Hornets.
