Milwaukee Bucks fans probably got excited when they heard the Bucks were looking to make a trade to bring in a wing player to help fill in for Khris Middleton. “Think of all the exciting possibilities,” they probably said.

Then the Bucks traded for Michael Beasley on Thursday and Bucks fans remembered the last several trades the Bucks have made. Then they probably said something more along the lines of “well, it certainly could’ve been worse.”

Could it have been worse? Was it actually not a bad trade? These and more are questions we’ll cover right here, in grading the Tyler Ennis for Michael Beasley swap. We’ll go through what the Bucks gave up and got in return in greater detail, and then look at the opportunity cost of the trade.

Finally, we’ll end things with an actual letter grade for the deal.

Before we get that far though, let’s have a moment of silence for young Tyler Ennis’ Bucks career. I’m sure Jordan Treske is still devastated over losing him.
