Easy, Peasy, Michael Beasley
Since returning from injury a couple of weeks ago, we’ve been without a signature Michael Beasley performance. Well, we can safely say that’s changed after his game yesterday afternoon.
Giannis’ absence opened up more playing time for the product out of Kansas State and boy, did he deliver as he scored 18 points (on 6-of-9 shooting from the field) in 16 minutes of play.
Like both Brogdon and Jabari, Beasley opened up his scoring with his lone three-point make in as many attempts. That opened up the flood gates as Beasley would continue to hit from inside the arc, from the free-throw line or like in the following clip, in transition.
Beasley’s scorching scoring (try to say that fast three times) off the bench was key in the Bucks taking control of the game late in the first quarter. It also served as a reminder of this important fact.
Unfortunately, Beasley’s day would be cut short late in the third quarter after suffering a left shin bruise. Whether that will affect his availability in future games remains to be seen, but it was good to see Beasley once again get down to Beas-ness time in his limited playing time.
