The Return Of Khris Middleton

In what was the big story for the Bucks heading into the game, we finally got our first glimpse of Khris Middleton in action this season.

Playing almost 15 minutes last night, Middleton turned in a modest night, scoring five points (shooting 2-of-5 from the field, 0-of-1 from deep), grabbing two rebounds and dishing out two assists.

But given his minutes restriction, last night was definitely more about how Middleton looked in his return than how he performed. In that sense, it was easy to come away encouraged from what we saw.

Middleton didn’t show many signs of rust during his time on the court as he looked to have the same form that we’ve been used to seeing long before his injury. That’s not to say he looked in complete game shape as he struggled to find his shot, but that shouldn’t be too much of a surprise considering the circumstances and the gravity of the injury he’s returning from.

Unfortunately, Middleton’s first game back wouldn’t be the big story of the night for the Bucks (don’t worry, we’ll get to that later), but it was still a fine showing and a welcome sight to see him finally back on the court nonetheless.
