More Signs Of Vintage KHA$H

Playing in his third regular season game of the year, we saw more encouraging signs from Khris Middleton last night.

During his limited time on the floor, nearly 18 minutes to be exact, Middleton showed more flashes of his usual self, particularly on the offensive end.  Delivering his most efficient night of the year so far, Middleton was finding his stroke inside the arc, going 4-of-7 from the field on the night.

What made Middleton’s scoring night more encouraging was the manner of how he scored most of his makes. Most of Middleton’s points came off of moves we’re accustomed to seeing from him, whether that was hitting off a fadeway jumper coming off of a screen or his patented turnaround jumper in the post.

In addition to his fine scoring night, Middleton continued to show off his playmaking skills, garnering three assists, along with two rebounds.

Of course, for all the positives, it was easy to tell that some things are still a work in progress for him. It was hard not to notice his reluctance to launch away from deep as he attempted no three-pointers and despite his brief stints on the floor, Middleton committed five fouls on the night, suggesting he still has a long way to go before getting into peak playing shape.

But the more positive signs we see, the better when it comes to Middleton.
