Yi Jianlian

Year(s): 2008

The Chairman played just one season with the Milwaukee Bucks, but in that one season he got to go to the Rising Stars Challenge in 2008. Yi Jianlian’s rookie team lost by nearly 30 points, despite the team having Kevin Durant.

Maybe part of the reason the team lost was Yi getting so many minutes. He played more than anybody except Durant and Jeff Green despite coming off of the bench. Yi scored eight points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in his 23 minutes.

Fittingly, Yi scored just over eight points with the Bucks that season, on almost exactly eight shots. The Rising Stars Challenge imitates the NBA season, apparently. Yi would be on the New Jersey Nets for the next season, but he did not make an appearance in the 2009 Rising Stars Challenge.

After being on four teams in five seasons, Yi is now out of the NBA entirely after spending some time with the Los Angeles Lakers this preseason.
