Milwaukee Bucks History: Every Bucks NBA Trade Deadline Deal
By Ti Windisch
1993 Trade Deadline
The Bucks trade Alvin Robertson to the Pistons for Orlando Woolridge.
This is a sad trade. Alvin Robertson was a four-time All-Star who was an excellent defensive players, but that time-tested combination of age and injuries brought him down from his prime all too quickly.
Robertson would play just 107 games in his career after the Bucks traded him away. He missed two consecutive seasons with back injuries before coming back to play 77 games with the Raptors in what would be his last season.
Woolridge, on the other hand, played just 82 games after the trade. He had a 25 point per game season in a high-flying Denver offense earlier in his career, but Woolridge never got an All-Star nod in his 13-season NBA career and never got back to that scoring production.
Woolridge passed away in 2012 due to heart disease after spending much of his post-NBA life as a coach, both in the WNBA and newer ABA.
