Oh, No

Tony Snell has had a nice season for the Bucks so far. He doesn’t typically score a ton of points, but he’s been more than a capable rebounder for his position and his accuracy from both three-point range and inside the arc has been impressive.

He was not any sort of impressive on Friday night. Snell played 28 minutes and recorded no statistics of measure except two missed shots and a personal foul. I take that back–it is a little impressive to play 28 minutes and not do anything.

Matthew Dellavedova didn’t do much better. He put up three points, six assists, one rebound, three turnovers and two personal fouls in 27 minutes of action.

Point Giannis is amazing and we all know it, but the Bucks still need more production from their backcourt than whatever it was that Delly and Snelly provided against the Jazz.

It can’t even be argued that their value was in defense, because Utah’s guards had no trouble getting through to the second line of defense all night long, as evidenced by George Hill dropping 19 points on just six attempted field goals.
