Khris Middleton is looking a whole lot like Khris Middleton again. He was sticking with his man, running the floor well, and his shots looked to have the necessary legs behind them.
The former Aggie played 30 minutes on the back end of the back-to-back, scoring an efficient 24 points. Shooting 9-14 from the field, 1-4 from three, and 5-6 from the line. He’s helping to plug the hole in the roster that injuries have left the Bucks managing.
Unlike in some of his previous games, Middleton didn’t offer much in terms of playmaking on this occasion, but it’s something the Bucks need to make sure they create opportunities for. The team may prefer the ball to be in the hands of Giannis and Malcolm Brogdon, but Khris has a great feel for the game, and would help the offensive flow.
Overall he’s playing better than we could have asked considering the severity of his injury. With one day off before the Bucks travel to Philadelphia, it’ll be interesting to see what the team plans to do with Khris next.
