Big Minutes Brogdon

On a back-to-back, Malcolm Brogdon was asked to play a heavy 42 minutes. In spite of that burden, Brogdon played his normal style of controlled basketball, even though most rookies would have trouble playing so many minutes this late into the season.

Brogdon tallied 17 points, shooting 6-13 from the field, 0-4 from three, and 5-6 from the line. He added five rebounds, and three assists. No rebound was more important than one he grabbed late in the fourth quarter when he followed his own miss to get the offensive board. He finished the play off with a contested layup to extend the Bucks’ lead to 10 with just over three minutes left in the game.

His heavy minutes weren’t to the detriment of Matthew Dellavedova, who had 26 minutes of his own off the bench. The two point guards spent a good portion of the game sharing the back court. They’re both unselfish, and willing to play the off guard position, making them an interesting pair. Perhaps they’ll allow the Bucks to put pressure on the ball more down the final stretch of the season.
