Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways From Win Over Toronto Raptors
By Reid Mueller
Giannis Taking Care Of Business
The Bucks star didn’t start the night putting a lot into his box score, but he was playing great basketball. The Raptors clogged the lane making it difficult for Giannis to get an open look at the hole. In response, Giannis made four or five great cross court passes to open shooters, only for them to all miss. A 12-point quarter is bound to be ugly, but the Bucks were given their chances through the play of their young star.
The Greek Freak finished the night with 21 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and a block. He shot 8-13 from the field and 5-6 from the line. He didn’t attempt a three-point shot, but he nailed two long mid-range shots when the Bucks needed points.
Giannis could have threatened a triple double based on how many opportunities he gave his teammates tonight. That’s not a diss to his fellow Bucks, it’s just nice to see Giannis score and pass the ball well.
Antetokounmpo only turned the ball over once, and could have had 10 assists if there was some better finishing, particularly in the early part of the game. It’s hard to ask for too much more than that.
