Now, THAT Was Peak Greek

I mean, where do I even begin to talk about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s performance last night?  Oh yeah, the first quarter (plays slide whistle).

Not long after the opening tip, the force that is Giannis was on full display with his play on both ends of the floor.  Let’s just say he was feeling quite confident from the jump, as you’ll see in the following clip.

However, Giannis’ blazing start was only foreshadowing of what was to come later in the night.  After falling silent in the second quarter and struggling to finish around the rim to start the third quarter, Giannis eventually settled back into his groove, jumpstarting the Bucks in the process.

But words can hardly do what followed any justice, so let’s take a trip through the Giannis highlight gauntlet.  Remember to stay seated in your chair for your own safety.

Let’s begin in 3…2…1… GO!

(drinks it in) And…ANOTHER ONE!

(mimics a pitcher standing on a mound, goes through a windup and throws an imaginary fastball to an imaginary home plate) HERE COMES THE HEAT!

Well, that was fun, wasn’t it?  That ridiculousness aside, Giannis’ performance in the second half was nothing short of incredible and just an extension of his play over the team’s current winning streak.  In total, Giannis scored 32 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, dished out seven assists, grabbed four steals and had two blocks in his 41 minutes of play.

Much like how the game started, the game finished in a similar way for the Bucks and that falls directly on the back of Giannis’ shoulders.
