You Bet We Snelled What The Tony Was Cooking
What he may have lacked in flash and style, Tony Snell made up for with his steadying presence on the floor. Following his outburst of a performance against the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the week, Snell had a more even keeled game last night against the Knicks.
Offensively, Snell was somewhat effective shooting the ball. Although he was just 3-of-9 from the field, he made up for that where it arguably mattered most as he connected on two of his three attempts from deep on the night.
Of course, Snell’s activity on the defensive end was solid all throughout the night, using his length to his advantage and helping fend off any comeback attempt by the Knicks, especially in the second half.
However, Snell’s more reserved night wasn’t for a lack of trying, as you’ll see on this ambitious almost baseline slam that occurred midway through the fourth quarter (by the way, poor Willy Hernangomez getting caught in the crosshairs for a potential apocalyptic-like slam for a second time in a matter of minutes).
Overall, Snell finished with 10 points, hauled in seven rebounds, had two steals, an assist and was a +1 in his 38 minutes of action. It certainly paled in comparison to his last performance, but nights like last night show how valuable Snell has become for the Bucks, even when he may not be pouring it on.
