Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: March 13 at Memphis Grizzlies
By Ti Windisch
Player To Watch: Marc Gasol
He struggled in the Grizzlies last game, but Marc Gasol is a game-changer at the center position. Adding a three-point shot made him even better, but it’s not like Gasol needed one to be one of the best centers in the NBA.

Gasol’s numbers speak for themselves. The Spanish big man is averaging 20.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.4 blocks in 34.3 minutes per game. Gasol is shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three-point territory in the first season that he’s taken more than 17 total threes.
For the first time ever, Gasol is taking more than 13.5 shots per game. Memphis needs him to be more of a force on offense, and Gasol complied by shooting and scoring more than he ever has in the NBA.
Gasol is also the anchor of one of the league’s premier defenses, and a skilled passer to boot. There really isn’t much that he can’t do, now that he’s a threat from deep. And to think people thought the Grizzlies getting him in exchange for his brother Pau was highway robbery back in the day.
