Player To Watch: Chris Paul

We’ve already touched on how good Chris Paul is, but here’s a refresher. In an off season for CP3 he’s still averaging 18.0 points, 9.3 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game. Those statistics don’t even tell the whole story–Paul runs the floor when he’s on it.

More from Behind the Buck Pass

Los Angeles blitzes teams with CP3 on the floor. The Clippers outscore the opposition by a remarkable 13.3 points per 100 possessions with the Point God in the game. Without him, L.A. gets outscored by 5.2 points per 100 possessions.

That’s a swing over over 18 points per 100 possessions, which really speaks to how damn good Paul is. The Clippers are looked at as an underachieving team this season, but they’re still unbelievably good with their best player on the floor.

Paul is healthy now, and it will be all the Bucks can do to contain him. Matthew Dellavedova and Malcolm Brogdon will certainly have their hands full trying to find ways to stop CP3.
