The Greek Wreaked Havoc

While he may not have been the standout performer for the Bucks on the night, Giannis Anetetokounmpo wasn’t all that far off based on his play.

Playing a team-high 39 minutes, Giannis turned in an incredibly steady performance against the Hornets, scoring 20 points (on 8-of-13 shooting), grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out two assists.  While he may not have been as dominant as we’ve seen at times throughout the year, that didn’t mean Giannis wasn’t a force to be reckoned with, this time in a different sense of the phrase.

At multiple times throughout the night, Giannis showcased his strength down low by snatching away contested rebounds or on overpowering scores against many of the Hornets’ defenders around the rim, like in the following clip against Frank Kaminsky.

In addition to his effective night all around, Giannis added to the team’s proficient night from beyond the arc as he hit on his lone attempt from deep.

Again, it was just a solid performance for the All-Star Anetetokounmpo and as they proved last night, nothing more wasn’t that needed from him, thanks to the effort of his supporting cast.
