Money Troubles?

As successful as last night proved to be for the Bucks, it didn’t come without any possible concerns.

For now the third straight game, Khris Middleton struggled shooting the ball from all areas of the floor. Scoring 14 points, Middleton was just 4-of-12 from the field and failed to hit on each of his five attempts from deep.

Despite turning in a tough shooting night, Middleton’s presence on the floor was incredibly impactful as he was a +29 in his 35 minutes of action. He also added five rebounds and an assist as well.

As Charles Gardner of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted in the afternoon, Middleton was absent from the team’s shootaround as he was dealing with a stomach virus and there were some questions as to whether he’d play at all.

Not to make excuses, but there’s no question that played an effect in Middleton’s performance last night. Considering the Bucks will have a quick turnaround with a game on Wednesday night, it seems likely that could be the case in Boston as well.

But there’s enough to be concerned with Middleton’s play as he’s seemingly dealing with his first rough patch since fully getting back into the swing of things after returning from his hamstring injury (Middleton’s a combined 11-of-42 from the field and is 2-of-15 from deep over his last three games).

With just a handful of games left in the regular season, there’s time for Middleton to break out of his current shooting slump. When that happens, however, just remains to be seen.
