Delly is still passing the ball well and knocking down some of his open looks, but it is clear that he is the back-up point guard for the rest of the season. He has been a little disappointing this season, but that is in part due to Brogdon’s outstanding play. The President has been so good that Delly has been put into a secondary role off the bench and he has struggled throughout the year.
Still, we have seen Outback Jesus excel as a back-up guard in the past (see Cleveland and Kyrie) so it might be best for Delly to come off the bench for the playoffs. Remember, of all players on the team, Matthew Dellavedova has some of the most playoff experience, and could see a minutes increase as the postseason gets underway.
