Unlike years in the past, the Milwaukee Bucks are in line for some of their players to win various awards this season. Obviously, this starts with Giannis Antetokounmpo, who could be an All-NBA player and the Most Improved Player of the league. Then there is Malcolm Brogdon, who is one of the favorites to win the Rookie of the Year. Where does Greg Monroe fit into this, you ask? Well, with his consistent play and improved defense, Moose should be a serious contender for the Sixth Man of the Year.

Traditionally, this award has been given to a player on good teams, not just those players who come off the bench to put up big numbers on poor teams. A few weeks ago, Monroe might not have been in contention for that reason, but with the Bucks competing for the five seed in the Eastern Conference, Moose’s candidacy should be taken more seriously.

Andre Iguodala, Eric Gordon, and others will likely be those near the top for taking home the award, but do not overlook Greg Monroe as a dark horse.
. C. Previous: 3rd. Greg Monroe. 3. team. 89
