Murder On The Boards

The Oklahoma City Thunder rebound the ball better than any team in the NBA. The Milwaukee Bucks rank 29th in rebounds per game. It should come as no surprise that the Thunder did a better job rebounding than the Bucks did.

Still, it’s hard not to be shocked that OKC grabbed 15 more boards than the Bucks did. Thon Maker has done a lot of good things this season, but he’s too small to enforce his will on the glass. He did grab a respectable seven boards against the Thunder, though.

Steven Adams and Enes Kanter may not have grabbed a bunch of rebounds on Tuesday thanks to Westbrook collecting 13 boards himself, but they still did work on the glass. The Stache Bros don’t really seem to mind Westbrook pouching an occasional board.

If the Bucks had played well on offense or defense and kept up in the rebounding battle, they could have won on Tuesday night. Milwaukee accomplished literally none of those things, though. That’s how you lose by 31 points in the NBA.
