Boston Celtics: Regular Season Series 1-1

Most NBA franchises would love to be in situation the Boston Celtics are in. Currently number two in the Eastern Conference, the Celtics have also clinched the best lottery odds for the upcoming NBA draft by way of the rights to swap picks with the Brooklyn Nets.

While still preparing for the future, the Celtics are winning a lot now with their diminutive superstar Isaiah Thomas. Center Al Horford is having a good season with his new team, while role players like Kelly Olynyk, Marcus Smart, and dark-horse Rookie of the Year contender Jaylen Brown have been performing at a high level too.

Challenging the Cleveland Cavaliers for the number one seed is a tough ask, but Boston is taking on that task. Injuries to players like Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley have held back the Celtics at times, but they have managed to get through it thanks to the stellar play of Thomas. Even though Danny Ainge has not made the grand move many have expected of him just yet, his team is still scary.

The Milwaukee Bucks facung the Boston Celtics would be a very intriguing seven-game series. With the regular season series currently tied, neither team yet has a mental advantage going into a potential series.

For Milwaukee to have a great chance, they’d need Tony Snell to be great. With Isaiah Thomas being one of the worst defenders in the league, the Celtics need to hide him on somebody. With Snell standing in the corner for most sets, Boston has switched Thomas onto him in the two games they teams have played to date. If Milwaukee needs to win, Snell needs to play great basketball so that Thomas will have nowhere to hide his horrendous defense.

The Bucks would enter a series with the Celtics as heavy underdogs, but would be more than capable of causing a shock.
