The Return Of The President

Malcolm Brogdon returned to action after sitting out five consecutive games because of a sore back. Brogdon assumed his starting role straightaway and had a fairly quiet game against the Hornets in his return.

Brogdon posted five points, four rebounds, three assists and three turnovers in his 25 minutes of action. He made two of his six attempted field goals and one of his three attempted three-pointers, and sunk the only free throw that any Bucks not named Greg Monroe attempted against Charlotte.

Even though his statistics were quiet, Brogdon’s calming presence continued to help the Bucks. Milwaukee outscored Charlotte by 19 points in Brogdon’s 25 minutes of action. Only Giannis had a better plus-minus, and that’s only because of the fourth quarter.

The most important thing was getting Brogdon some minutes so that he can get as close to 100 percent as possible by the time the playoffs start. The Bucks will certainly need his contributions, considering how much better Brogdon has been than any of Milwaukee’s other point guards.
