Milwaukee Bucks: 5 Key Stats Ahead of Toronto Raptors Series

Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, who in some order make up the best two players on the Raptors, combine for nearly 50 points per game. Lowry and DeRozan, in addition to making up the NBA’s best bromance, are a damn dangerous pair of guards to contend with.
Milwaukee’s strategy for defending them both will be interesting. The Raptors have a deep team, but the next most dangerous scorer on the team is Serge Ibaka, who isn’t on the same level as Lowry and DeRozan as far as creating buckets goes.
Seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo or Khris Middleton slide down to guard either Lowry or DeRozan at times wouldn’t be shocking, although Tony Snell and Malcolm Brogdon will be tasked with those responsibilities from the jump, and both of them have defended well this season.
The Bucks starting backcourt will be tested each and every night that Milwaukee takes on the Raptors. The Raptors have a lot of talent, but there’s no doubt that they need Lowry and DeRozan to be on point for Toronto to move forward in the playoffs.
Milwaukee has to assume that Lowry and DeRozan will do well, as there’s almost no chance the Bucks shut down both of them entirely, but the Bucks need to keep them under control to stand a chance against the Raptors.
