Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways From Win Over Toronto Raptors
A Great Milwaukee Crowd Welcomed New Playoff Bucks
Fans might not remember, or maybe try to forget the sorry performance that the Bucks put on during their last home playoff game. Without going into the disturbing details, it was an ugly loss to the Chicago Bulls. Now, Milwaukee got to be on the other side of things.
Greeted with shirts depicting a deer staring you down, fans were loud and proud of their team from the get go. The chants were heard clearly in the broadcast, and the team cited feeding off of the energy as one of the reasons they found so much success.
Coach Kidd said that he hadn’t heard such a great crowd during his time in Milwaukee, but that the Bucks “need that and we look forward to having (fans) out here on Saturday”.
Giannis described the crowd as “unbelievable”, and continued that “from the first play they were into the game, and it’s just fun to play when you have such great fans”.
The Bucks fed off the fans and the fans got what might have been the team’s best performance in a decade. The crowd once again broke out into MVP chants for Giannis, which might have hurt his free throw shooting (3-8), but was amazing to hear in a place that has struggled to have star talent for so long.
