Snell Was Hot

If you were looking for the silver lining from this game, this is it. Tony Snell looked locked in and confident the whole game long.

We’ve seen Snell catch fire and make the most of his catch-and-shoot opportunities all season long, but when Snell is really working is when his pull-up jumpers are going down too. Snell doesn’t do a whole lot of creating his own shot, but he sure can shoot.

He was the leading scorer for the Bucks with 19 points. With so much of the focus on stopping Giannis, the Raptors gave him plenty of good looks from three. He attempted 10 shots from deep, which were mostly all good looks, and made half of them.

In addition, he played good defense on DeRozan once again. The box score might not show it, but DeRozan was just hitting tough shots for the most part. Snell has played great all series long, both with his defense and his valuable shooting.

There were only two Bucks who played well on Saturday, Snell and Greg Monroe, who put up another typical game. That’s it. Khris and Giannis were cold and sloppy, the point guards made two shots, the bench outside of Moose had just 10 points on 17 shots. Maker was impactful at the rim, but even he didn’t look up to his best.

The Bucks can’t be a team where Tony Snell is the best player out there, but they were, and still fought the Raptors until the last few minutes.
