Key Bucks Didn’t Provide Scoring

The Raptors were hot all night, and if the Bucks were going to win, it would have had to be a shootout. While Giannis and Malcolm Brogdon stepped up to the challenge, no other Buck had an above average scoring performance.

Giannis was sensational with 30, and Brogdon well above his norm with 19, but besides that, only Greg Monroe (11), Tony Snell (9), and Thon Maker (6) scored close to their season averages.

The backup forwards were exceptionally poor. For as little as Michael Beasley and Mirza Teletovic offer on defense, considering their limitations, offense is a must if they’re going to have a good game. Mirza only hit one shot, and it was a three-pointer. Beasley missed both of his shots, and all four of his free throws.

Matthew Dellavedova scored only four points on four shots. Middleton played very poorly, with only eight points on as many shots.

The Bucks need an edge to make it past the Raptors, and the team can’t fail to score as a team again. Khris Middleton in particular needs to start performing like he’s the second best player on this team.
