Parker’s Game of the Season

Just a few days after Christmas, Parker decided to fill Bucks fans’ stockings with a near triple-double against the Detroit Pistons, handing them a 25-point defeat on their home court.

Parker filled the box score with 31 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists for the night. Jabari did everything you could ask for and more, from moving without the ball when one of the Bucks’ players drove to the basket, spotting up and in some cases relocating for an open three-point shot, and going 4-7 from deep.

Parker utilized his size and speed by using what I would call a power drive to the basket against multiple Detroit defensive players.

When Parker has his all around game on display, he can become the playmaker the Bucks need at times, and certainly missed in the first round of the playoffs. On this occasion, Parker added seven assists mostly off of simple shot fakes and single dribble and pass move plays.

I wouldn’t expect Jabari to put up many five-plus assist nights as they only happened in seven games throughout his 51 games this year, but it sure is a bonus when he can.
