Lamond Murray Jr.

Guard – 6’5″

If the name Lamond Murray sounds familiar, that’s probably for good reason. Murray Jr.’s father was the seventh overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft, and would go on to play in the NBA for over a decade.

It’s probably worth noting that Murray was a teammate of Jason Kidd’s throughout the Bucks coach’s time as a California Golden Bear too.

Moving back to the present, Murray Jr. proved himself to be an incredibly skilled scorer in his final year in college. Although Murray Jr.’s career at Pepperdine was something of a slow burner, after earning a meaningful role as a junior, he returned as a senior to lead the conference in scoring with 21.4 points per game.

Murray Jr. is an efficient and varied scorer who has shown signs of a consistent three-point stroke. Having only really started taking threes in the last two seasons, he averaged over 37 percent from deep for his college career overall.

Possessing a 6’9″ wingspan, the 22-year-old has been able to be an impact maker in the passing lanes too, as he averaged 1.1 steals per game as a senior.
