Milwaukee Bucks 2016-17 Season Review: Michael Beasley
By Ti Windisch
Beasley’s Game of the Season
There’s no doubt about which Bucks game saw the best Michael Beasley performance. His season-high in scoring came in a January 10 game against the San Antonio Spurs, a game which the Bucks only won thanks to Beas dropping a team-high 28 points.
The Spurs led the game for nearly 42 minutes, but thanks to Beasley the Bucks captured the lead when it mattered most. Beas dropped 10 points in the fourth quarter, including a jumper to tie the game and two made free throws to expand Milwaukee’s lead.
After San Antonio made a comeback and snatched the score advantage back, Beas dished a pass to Malcolm Brogdon that ended up being the winning bucket from three-point range. For the game, Beasley posted 28 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks in 34 minutes played.
Beas’ shot was accurate against the Spurs. He needed just 18 attempts to get his points, and he made his only three-point attempt and five of six free throws. Injuries hampered Beasley towards the end of the season, but he shined brightly in that game against the Spurs to be sure.
