Milwaukee Bucks 2016-17 Season Review: Malcolm Brogdon
Brogdon’s Moments of the Year
For the sake of reliving what was a great year from Brogdon, let’s take a look at three of his best games of the season.
First, he set the BMO Harris Bradley Center on fire in early December with his slams over Kyrie Irving and LeBron James. Very few saw Brogdon becoming a high-flying player in the NBA, but he showed some bounce in this game, taking the ball to the rack with authority on two very impressive occasions. (Side note: Is there really a Bucks’ highlight from this season that doesn’t show them giving up a corner three?)
Then, just a few weeks later, Brogdon pulled a triple-double out of his bag of tricks in a New Year’s Eve game against the Chicago Bulls. With 15 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds, it was certainly a game that the rookie will not forget for a long time. Brogdon flashed his varied skill-set in that game, especially considering it was just his second career NBA start.
Lastly, it was his clutch performance against the Boston Celtics in late March that would go down as his best stretch of basketball during the entire season. He made countless big plays that eventually got the Bucks this victory heading into the postseason.
There were several other moments to choose from, including games of 16 and 19 during the playoff series against the Toronto Raptors, but these are the ones that I looked back on as being the most memorable.
