Summer Focus and Final Grade
Clearly, Rashad Vaughn has a lot to work on this summer in preparation for his next season with the Milwaukee Bucks. There’s at least a silver lining in that: when you’re near the bottom, it’s hard to go anywhere except up.

Vaughn improved his game incrementally between his first two NBA seasons, and although that snail’s pace of realizing potential won’t make him into a worthwhile rotation player soon enough it’s not out of the question that Vaughn speeds up his learning curve.
As previously mentioned, getting his three-point stroke down would be massive for Vaughn’s future as a Buck. That will make everything else much easier for the guard on offense, and likely would imbue some confidence in him that could carry over to the other end.
In addition, an added focus on ball handling could transform Vaughn into a combo guard, a much more useful player type than one limited to just one position. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
Despite the optimism, right now it doesn’t seem like Vaughn has a ton of upside, at least not from what he displayed throughout the 2016-17 NBA season apart from that one Brooklyn game.
