Game of the Year

Khris Middleton only played more than 37 minutes once all season. On March 31, the Bucks played the Detroit Pistons in a game that ended up being quite close. Milwaukee would win by three points at the end, but without Middleton’s nearly 43 minutes the Bucks certainly wouldn’t have come out on top.

In that time, Khris managed to accrue 25 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal. He shot 56.3 percent from the field, 57.1 percent from three-point territory and made all three of his attempted free throws.

Middleton was accurate and he played strong defense, only allowing Marcus Morris to get 13 points on 13 shots. This was a vintage Khris Middleton game, and the kind of performance the Bucks need to see more from a healthy Khris next season.

The exclamation on this Middleton performance was his final basket, a three-pointer he got to attempt twice after Thon Maker tipped his first miss back to him in overtime. It takes a true shooter at heart to shrug off the first miss and drain the second attempt.
