What the Experts Say

(As of 6/20/17)

DraftExpress (Jonathan Givony): 37th

ESPN (Chad Ford): 25th

The Ringer (Kevin O’Connor): 17th

Sporting News (Sam Vecenie): 52nd

Chad Ford of ESPN wrote about Bolden’s strong season in Serbia, and gives some insight into how that may have been a smart move on the player’s part for his own development.

"“Bolden felt like UCLA didn’t properly use his skill set and scouts who have watched him in Serbia have been impressed.”"

Jonathan Tjarks of The Ringer also sees potential lottery talent in Bolden, believing he’s being unfairly overlooked for seeking experience elsewhere.

"“If Bolden had stayed at UCLA and spent a year running the break with Ball, there’s no telling where he would have been drafted. Two of the big men who replaced him at UCLA, TJ Leaf and Ike Anigbogu, are currently projected as first-round picks, even though neither is as versatile as Bolden. “"
