Strengths

Ben McLemore isn’t a lot of things, but he is a shooter. McLemore nailed 38.2 percent of his triples last season, and his three point percentage has steadily risen each year of his career. Despite the rise in percentage, his volume of triples has stayed pretty consistent.

His amount of threes taken per game did not, because his minutes per game have fluctuated (more on that later), but McLemore has taken around five threes per 36 in each of his four years in the NBA. If he improves even slightly from deep, McLemore will be a 40 percent three-point shooter.

That alone is valuable. That along with potential might just keep McLemore around the NBA, despite the Kings cutting ties with him. McLemore is just 24 years old, and although his first stint in the Association didn’t go so well a change of scenery might help him a ton.

McLemore is also, uh, athletic. That’s a strength. Did I mention he can shoot already? That’s actually about it for the strengths. Let’s move on.
