Having wrapped up his four-year career at VCU, the name JeQuan Lewis will likely become a familiar one for Bucks fans over the next year.
Via Tim Pearell of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Lewis signed a free agent contract with the Bucks after going undrafted in this year’s draft. While that deal has him set to become a part of the Bucks’ Summer League roster, it will extend into training camp and in the likely possibility he will not make the team’s roster, a spot can be had for him on the Wisconsin Herd.
More of a scoring guard, Lewis is an exceptional athlete in the open floor and possesses a great amount of shiftiness to shake defenders while trying to make his way to the basket. Additionally, Lewis is a knockdown shooter from deep and his range can go beyond the NBA three-point line.
How he goes about managing the concerns over his size when facing NBA cailber big men remains to be seen, but we’ll get our first good look at that this weekend and beyond.
