Wisconsin Herd: Getting to know the 11 expansion draft picks
By Adam McGee
Josh Davis
Don’t worry, this is not the Josh Davis who played four games for the Bucks way back in 2005, instead this Josh Davis is a forward out of San Diego State with some very notable G League experience to his name.
Davis last played in the G League in the 2014-15 season for the Austin Spurs, where he was a key contributor on a very strong team.
In that season, Davis averaged 13.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game over the course of 22 contests.
The reason for the limited number of games played by Davis was that his stellar play attracted attention from overseas, with the now 26-year-old leaving Austin to sign for Meralco Bolts in the Philippines.
Davis carried that impressive play over to Asia, where he averaged 21.6 points and 17.2 rebounds in 15 games.
