What does Brown offer?

Brown has winning experience and still holds the record for SMU with the most wins as a player, in the school’s history. His leadership and winning mentality should add value to this young Bucks’ roster right away.

Amazingly, Brown will enter the season, the same age as Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is about to enter his fifth year in the NBA. Even though Brown is a rookie, he offers a wealth of basketball experience and knowledge, both on and off the court.

Brown’s style of play will also fit the Milwaukee system perfectly, as an elite three-point shooter, playing in a position-less system. During his senior year, Brown averaged 13.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while shooting 44.9 percent from three. Over his four years at SMU, Brown actually shot 45.1 percent from deep, showing that last year’s production was no fluke.

Most impressive however, was Brown’s ability to rotate in the position-less system SMU ran out last year. SMU entered the season with a roster which included no pure centers and no player over 6’9″.

This meant that all five players were required to rotate and equally contribute on both ends of the floor. Brown thrived in this system, hauling in 6.5 rebounds per game, well above what’s expected of a guard.
