Milwaukee Bucks: Tony Snell season preview 2017-18
By Ben Sewell
Expectations for Snell this season
Essentially, this season will be about if Snell can justify his new contract. At around $11.5 million a season, Snell sits around the league average for “three-and-D” wings. If he can continue his play from last season, he will certainly justify the money he will be receiving.
More of the same, around a team that has an extra year of growth and chemistry will likely mean even more open looks for Snell. If he can continue to knock down threes at the rate he did last season, he will climb even higher up the boards for the most threes in a season by a Bucks player.
More importantly however, his defense and work rate in this Bucks’ system must continue. Antetokounmpo is one of the best defenders in the league. He, on his own however cannot do everything on that end of the floor, meaning that guys like Snell will have to stand up on the defensive end.
Overall, if Snell can continue his play from last year and knock down threes at 40 percent, while also continuing to defend at an elite level, it will go a long way towards the Bucks returning to the playoffs.

From all reports, Snell is looking fit and healthy and will be ready to fire on all cylinders come opening night.
