Three-point Bucks

Likely the most encouraging part of their performance last night, the Bucks couldn’t be stopped when it came to their success from beyond the arc.

The majority of the Bucks’ offensive production came from deep and by the end of the night, they finished 16-of-33 from behind the three-point line. It was a total team effort as the Bucks had seven total players sink at least one three-pointer for the contest.

One of the biggest contributors in this regard was swingman Tony Snell, who was 4-of-7 from deep in his 28 minutes of play. The other was Mirza Teletovic, who continued his promising preseason as he hit four of his six attempts from downtown in his nine minutes of action (long live the Mirza-ssance).

While the Bucks get constantly pegged for being behind the times in terms of deploying a more modern offense, they certainly have the personnel to generate the kinds of looks they repeatedly drew all throughout the night. It was something head coach Jason Kidd commented on after the game as Ben Steele of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted in his postgame column:

"“We’re a three-point shooting team right now. When we go back and look at it, a lot of them are in the flow,” Kidd said. “We have a lot of guys that can shoot the three. You look at the starting group, you have five guys that can knock down the three.'”"

Time will only tell whether this kind of effectiveness will stand as a regular feature in their game this season, but it’s something all Bucks fans could surely get used to.
