In another game that came down to the wire, the Milwaukee Bucks triumphed over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. With that, we take a look at who stood out in the win.

Although there weren’t the late game fireworks like there were in their previous contest, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night, winning 103-94.

Entering the game without a key contributor in Malcolm Brogdon, the Bucks were going to have to truck on without their starting point guard for the night. At first, the Bucks adapted well in his absence with guard Matthew Dellavedova stepping up into the starting lineup (more on that later).

But the further we went into the first quarter, the Bucks’ offense came to a grinding halt (not for a lack of opportunity, though) and as a result, the Hornets took an early seven-point lead to end the first quarter.

The Bucks were quick to change that at the start of the second quarter as they eventually evened the game midway through the period.

That set up the stakes for much of the game as both the Bucks and Hornets traded leads back and forth for much of the third quarter. It was late in the period when the Bucks stormed back and held a six-point lead heading into the fourth.

But once it felt like the Bucks could take care of business to finish off the game, the Hornets didn’t back down as they tied the game with three minutes left to go.

Once again, however, it was key stops on the defensive end from both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton that saved the day for the Bucks. And just for good measure, Middleton hit a clutch three-pointer to seal the deal for the team’s third win in the early season.

So without further ado, let’s take a deeper look at who and what stood out in the victory for the Bucks.
